West Coast boss Snoop Dogg turns 40 today, and he couldn’t let the big occasion pass without a star studded celebration. He hit up Rolling Stone Lounge in Hollywood yesterday to party, and Chaka Khan was on hand to sing a soulful rendition of “Happy Birthday.” The guest list read like a who’s who of West Cost rap, with Dr. Dre, Warren G, DJ Quik, Too $hort and Lady of Rage all in attendance. Snoop was also joined by Matt Kemp of the LA Dodgers, Cleveland Cavalier Baron Davis, and Tyrese Gibson, with whom he co-starred in the movie Baby Boy.
The emcee has been in the game nearly 20 years; he first stepped on the scene back in 1992, and has been making hits ever since Doggystyle. Here’s wishing him another 20 years of success.
