The Amata family have been a huge and ever present force in the Nollywood industry. Zack, Fred and Ruke have all played great movie roles and were part of the pioneering generation that held their own during the emergence of an infant Nollywood industry and their late father was one of the main financial bank rollers of movies being produced.
Fred especially has served as the most prominent face amongst the 3 and featured extensively in a lot of movies. He later also followed the footsteps of his late father after pulling back on his acting roles. So it comes as an identifiable piece that the matriarch of such a strong and influential family in Nollywood has died at the age of 81.
