50 Cent Says New Album Is Finished

50 Cent
Through multiple delays, threats of cancellations and Twitter squabbles with his label, Interscope Records,50 Cent has completed his still-untitled fifth solo album.

BET.com caught up with the hip hop mogul at the Smooth Magazine 10th anniversary issue release party last week in New York City, where the rapper revealed he was all but done recording the LP.

“It’s good man, I’m done, actually — I just got to go through the mixing process,” 50 said.

For months the G-Unit general has had a very public dispute with Interscope Records over the promotion and release of the project; at times, he even threatened not to deliver the album, which is his last contractual release with the label.

“It’s just the system and everybody being on deck at the same time to move at the same pace,” 50 said of his differences with Interscope. “When I have a conversation about something I expect it to happen like right after we talk about it.”

Despite label issues, Fif guarantees that the artistic integrity behind the effort is intact. With two solid productions from Aftermath Records' boss and longtime collaborator Dr. Dre, the Southside Jamaica-Queens native assures fans that his desire to put out new music is at an all time high. Fif says fans can look forward to a great LP this November.

Between recording the album, 50 has been busy serving as a guest photographer with Smooth Magazine, promoting his new Street King energy drink and a highly-anticipated new feature film, All Things Fall ApartIn the Mario Van Peebles directed-flick, 50 stars as a football star stricken with cancer.
