Conrad Murray’s Defense Drops Claim that MJ Killed Himself

As the Michael Jackson case begins to wind down, Conrad Murray’s legal team throws out their claim that Michael Jackson accidentally killed himself by orally administering the lethal dose of propofol to himself. Radaronline reports that Lawyer Michael Flanagan explained to the judge and Deputy District Attorney David Walgren that after commissioning a study which showed the effect of swallowing the drug would be "trivial" it was decided that: "We are not going to assert at any time during this trial that Michael Jackson orally administered Propofol." Murray, who faces up to four years in prison if convicted of the superstar’s murder, had claimed earlier in the trial that Jackson killed himself with an oral dose of propofol.
