Man Who Threatened To Shoot Ne-yo And Label Execs In The Head Detained By Feds

A man who threatened to shoot R&B singer Ne-Yo and other label execs in the head was detained by Federal authorities. Record company Sony Music Entertainment secured a restraining order against Jeff Choi after learning that several employees were on his hit list, reports TMZ. Choi reportedly began making threats several months ago, which included emails, angry phone calls, in addition to making a trip to Sony offices because he believes they have released songs about him without his permission. According to court documents, Choi claims Ne-Yo, Sony head Clive Davis and Sony CFO Kevin Kelleher are permitting the songs to be released and demands $800,000 from the record label.

After doing an investigation surrounding the situation, the FBI made Choi take several psychiatric tests. After negative results he was sent to a mental health facility. But that didn’t stop Choi; he continued to make threats from the hospital, which later resulted in his prosecution. Sony will be back in court on September 28 in an effort to extend the restraining order.
