50 Cent is turning his well-regarded entrepreneurial prowess toward a new philanthropic endeavor. The rapper and mogul has recently launched Street King, an energy shot that will help raise funds for feeding the poor in Africa.
Street King comes in two flavors, "orange mango" and "grape," and promises six hours of energy. Each bottle of the drink sold will "furnish a meal for an impoverished child," according to the company.
"I went on a trip to Africa, and the devastation I witnessed changed me forever," 50 says In a new ad for the product. "I grew up without money, but I didn't grow up hungry."
The stated goal of Street King is to provide meals for one billion people, one bottle at a time. The company is working with Pure Growth Partners to distribute the money to charities, but has not disclosed what percentage of proceeds will be donated.
