Common is bringing us all back to the standard of hip hop that a lot of us tend to think of when we think of this great genre of music. His latest, “Sweet,” is off of his upcoming album The Dreamer, The Believer. The December LP is already shaping up to be a classic if these new tracks we’ve heard are any indication. The father, rapper and actor is still promoting his book, “One Day It’ll All Make Sense” and the now highly regarded writer is keeping up with the positivity. After coming into the game and being seduced by Ms. Badu (like many men are), taking some heat from the White House for including him on the poetry night, and so much more; Common is a seasoned veteran. And of course, you know that any artist on the G.O.O.D. Music label is going to have extra attention from Kanye, likely a collaboration or two and of course some insane production skills to go along with the smooth lyrics. Common will also be appearing on the G.O.O.D. Music album set to release in 2012. Take a listen to “Sweet” Up there.
