The most soulful award show of the year just turned up the temperature another notch. Soul Train Awards 2011 has added several legendary performers to the star-studded evening. Set to air on both Centric and BET on Sunday, November 27, at 9:00 pm, Soul Train Awards 2011 had already announced that Earth, Wind and Fire and Gladys Knight would be receiving the prestigious Legend Award, with Cedric the Entertainment on hosting duties. Today it was revealed that the show will also include performances from Cee Lo GreenCommonFreddie JacksonMusiq SoulchildChrisette MichelleMarsha Ambrosius and other mega-talents. They'll be joining the already-announced roster of stars, including The Original 7ven a.k.a. The Group Formerly Known as The TimeNatalie ColeJill ScottRobin ThickeMelanie FionaKeith SweatBebe WinansJoeLalah Hathaway and Kenny Latimore. There will also be pre-recorded tribute testimonials by Elton JohnSmokey RobinsonPatti LabelleWill.i.AmThe RootsMarie Osmond and several others. Other surprises are also sure to make headlines. CNN host Wolf Blitzer and hip hop legend Doug E. Fresh, who last year taught viewers how to do the “Dougie,” will return with new tricks up their sleeves.
