Prodigy and Lil Wayne Discussed Collaboration in Jail

Prodigy was released from prison back in March after serving a three year sentence for weapons possession in New York, but the rapper used that time behind bars to network. Lil Wayne's eight month sentence at New York's Rikers Island in 2010 overlapped with Prodigy's and the two decided to collaborate on something once both were freed. Actually we was talking while we were both locked up,” Prodigy told RapFix Live last Wednesday. “We was in communication with each other. He made a little quote for me on my autobiography, on the cover of the book. We supposed to be doing some music in the future. Prodigy also talked about his first book, My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Dee's Prodigy, which was released in April. The controversial stories in the book caused some artists to speak out against some of the rapper's allegations. Capone, Noreaga, Nas, Jay-Z, Irv Gotti, Ja Rule, and Caddilac Tah are some of the names thrown in the mix. I knew that was gonna come. I was just being real that’s all. It wasn’t no publicity stunt, it wasn’t nothing but me being myself and telling my story. When asked who should portray him if the book ever makes it to the big screen, Prodigy replied, “Is it good enough for a movie you think? I’d need a top actor…get Denzel [Washington] or something.
